Speaker Bio
Graphic designer, specializing in typographic design and editorial design. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Communication Design from the Autonomous Metropolitan University - Xochimilco and a Master's degree in Typography Design from the Center for Gestalt Studies. Their typographic work has been selected for the Latin American Typography Biennial "Tipos Latinos" in the editions of 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018. For the past 10 years, they have been researching and working on the topic of typography for Mexican indigenous languages. They have conducted workshops and conferences and undertaken projects to develop typographic solutions for American languages in collaboration with native speakers and linguists. In 2016, they participated in the third Ibero-American Laboratory of Civic Innovation in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, where they contributed to the development of a set of typographic tools for writing the Woun Meu language. In 2017, they designed a typographic family for Mexican languages in collaboration with the National Institute of Indigenous Languages, and in the same year, they presented at the annual ATypI conference in Montreal, Canada. Currently, they are a partner and designer at Cuatro Ojos studio, a professor at Anáhuac University in Veracruz, and a member of the Letrástica collective.
