Mitzy Juárez is an editorial designer, illustrator, and editor. She was born in Villa de Tamazulápam del Progreso, a community belonging to the Ngiba-Ngigua territory in the state of Oaxaca. She holds a degree in graphic design from the Universidad Mesoamericana and is a specialist in editorial design from the School of Design at the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature. She recently completed her studies in the Master's in Editorial Design and Production at the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana Unidad Xochimilco.

Mitzy has collaborated on various projects aimed at preserving Mexico's indigenous languages with institutions and organizations such as the Secretaría de Cultura, INALI, UNESCO, UNAM, Google, Rising Voices, and Endless Oaxaca Multilingüe. She is an editor and co-founder of Grupo Comunitario Xadeni and Editorial Semilla Corazón, a self-managed project that produces illustrated publications aimed at introducing children to the diverse cultural aspects of Mexico.
