René has a degree in Graphic Design and has also pursued studies in Higher Education. He is originally from Asunción Cacalotepec Mixe, Oaxaca, Mexico, and belongs to the Ayuuk nation. Currently, he collaborates with the Center for the Study and Development of Indigenous Languages of Oaxaca (CEDELIO) and is part of the Mixe Collective (COLMIX). He works in the field of graphic design on linguistic revitalization projects, which include layout and illustration of books, as well as signage and linguistic landscape in indigenous languages, although that won't be discussed today.
