Linguist and translator born in Abasolo del Valle, a Mixtec community in Veracruz. As a professional, she has primarily worked with majority languages, but a few years ago, she began working on projects related to indigenous languages, alongside a personal process of relearning her family's language. She currently resides in the historical territory of the Mixtec people and works for the NGO Cultural Survival in the field of indigenous peoples' rights.
