This talk will introduce some of the Design archive projects currently underway in the Arab region. Ms. Dajani will discuss how the archives can be a valuable source of typographic and historical information in the field of Arabic type design, facilitating the development of more informed and diverse Arabic typefaces. She will highlight the Design Archive community is dedicated to creating awareness of the past, and a better understanding of the present, with an eye to the future.
